About Us

Metro Scout Day - "Where tomorrow's stars are found"

Metro Scout Day is a baseball showcase we host in New York City annually for kids in our underserved communities. The purpose is to reel in the best talent in New York City and the Northeast to create a huge platform for exposure to college programs and professional (MLB) organizations and ultimately create better opportunities for these kids. Normally a showcase of this magnitude would cost each player between $500 - $1,500 and this amount doesn't include the cost of travel to and from such events. Our staff of volunteer coaches and scouts fundraise and gather the means necessary every year to run this event FOR FREE!

Over the last 8 years, we have helped over 600 Student-athletes attain tuition dollars & scholarship money to continue playing baseball at the collegiate level. If each one of those students ends up completing 4 years of college under that same scholarship plan, the combination of all those scholarships we have helped with totals over $30 million. That's how much of an impact this event has had in the Northeast community.

Moreover, 25 of our program’s alumni / former participants have been drafted and/or signed as free agents including 9 draft picks in the 2024 MLB Draft: Christian Moore (1st Rd - Angels), Luke Dickerson (2nd Rd - Nationals), Luke Holman (2nd Rd - Reds), Chase Harlan (3rd Rd - Dodgers), Gage Zeihl (4th Rd - Yankees), Randy Flores (8th Rd - Angels), Nick Roselli (11th Rd - Mets), Kyle DeGroat (14th Rd - Royals), and Tyler Renz (18th Rd - Brewers)
